About College Guide Post

Scattered across the Internet are multitudes of web sites that offer information about preparing for college. Finding the information you need and how it applies to your unique situation can be a time consuming and confusing process.

You can do it all from College Guide Post, plus you will have access to an experienced guide who is specially trained and who will provide individualized attention through e-mail and/or telephone.

Our chief guide, Margaret Gandy, served for eighteen (18) years as a Guidance Resource Specialist in a nationally acclaimed public high school where 95-97 % of the seniors continue their education. With her information and guidance, these students were accepted at the most prestigious colleges and universities, each of the military academies as well as all other levels of academic and technical settings. A large number of these students financed their education through scholarships amounting in the millions with others adding financial support through government programs.

During those years, Margaret designed a resource program that is now replicated in approximately 35 high schools in four counties of Florida. In addition she shared her strategies while training many volunteers who now live in a variety of places. This knowledge and expertise is available to every one undertaking the journey towards college through CollegeGuidepost.com. Each guide for College Guide Post adheres to the Principles of Good Practice as outlined by NACAC.

Margaret is a member of the Southern Association for College Admission Counseling (SACAC) and National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC) She has presented workshops for SACAC on "Funding through Scholarships" and "Volunteers in the College Resource Room"; for NACAC, "Choosing a Major"; and for College Board Regional Meeting, co-chaired with the Federal Trade Commission a session on "Scholarships without Scams."
